Day 20 Eight Days and Counting!

I crack myself up. When I'm contemplating what I'm going to write, I always think "I wanted to try something different!!" When it comes time to write, I have been changing my opening sentence to something else, but yet again today I wanted to start with "I wanted to try something different."

I love watching videos of people doing art journals. There is something about it that I find so appealing. I know nothing about it, and I need to watch more videos to learn something. YouTube is one of my "Go To" art schools/inspiration sources. Anyway, I was picking up some supplies, and I found a luscious art journal and I could not walk away from it. Therefore, today's creativity is an attempt at art journaling.

I learned that I really should wear gloves when working with ink. The fingers of my left hand are hot pink. I learned that I really have to work on a clear workspace and when I am done working with something, put the lid on it and put it away. (I left a stamp pad uncovered, and then the front cover of my art journal got pressed on it, so now I have to figure out some way to decorate the front, so it doesn't look like a big oops.) I learned I need to learn more about how to do this, though I think there aren't any rules.

I also realized that I am a typical Gemini in that I am interested in so many things that I flit about trying everything. Encaustic and cold wax are my primary choice, as far as mediums go, and I will always come back to them, but I have to explore other mediums as well. I am also going to try incorporating wax into the art journal, don't know how that's going to work, but we will see.

I'm happy with what I have so far. I may keep going and add some more, or not. I'm going to keep experimenting and see what happens. But for now, I'm going to take a hot bath!

Happy creating.

In Gratitude, Karen
